Sunday School

Our Sunday School is held every Sunday at 9:30 a.m.  We have classes for ages 2 years through adult.  No one is ever too old for Sunday School.

The Sunday School session begins in the Fellowship Hall, where all classes gather for a brief opening songs, prayers, and recognition of baptism birthdays and visitors.  Coffee, juice and donuts are also available, beginning at approximately 9:15 a.m.

  • Children aged 2 years through 8th grade are taught using the Our Life in Christ curriculum from Concordia Publishing House (CPH), which covers all of the major Bible stories in a three year cycle.  Memory work is encouraged at all levels, and has been designed to complement the confirmation memory work.
  • The High School class studies a variety of topics during the year.  These have included the careful study of a book of the Bible or a point of Lutheran doctrine and a variety of current events and concerns.  This class is held in the youth room, located in our Activity Center.
  • The Adult Sunday School Class is held in the Fellowship Hall.   Study topics have included an in-depth look at a facet of our doctrine or the Lutheran confessions, a variety of current event topics, or an in-depth, verse-by-verse study of a book of the Bible.
  • A Small Group adult study meets in the Reception Room.
